Registration is now open for Skill Acquisition 2014. Returning for its 4th year, the programme organized by Lashone Links Business School, a subsidiary of Lashone Links Group of Companies in partnership with National directorate of   Employment (NDE), Ministry of Education, Ministry of Women affairs and Poverty Alleviation and other seeks to empower 1000 participants in diverse vocation which comprises of Fashion, Hair Dressing, Leather works, Makeup, Fashion Designing, Foot wears Making, Audio-Visual production and photography, beads and accessories etc.

The training which will commence on the 17th of November will begin with one week entrepreneurship class where participants will be taught basic business skills by seasoned and experienced facilitators.  After which participants will be attached to various organization where they will serve as interns for three months.  

In an interview recently in Lagos, the MD/CEO of Lashone Links Group of Companies, Dr. Lanre Shonekan told members of the press that the programme will expand the level of economic activity and create more job opportunities thereby reducing unemployment in our society. He said “At Lashone Links Business School, our dream is to see a positive youth population contributing positively to the growth of the Nigerian economy. That’s why in the past 3yrs we have graduated over 200 participants in our Skill Acquisition Programme which is our give back to the society. We have successfully transformed the unemployed to employers of labor setting them up with their own businesses after an initial training in entrepreneurship. This year our target is to train and start up 1000 young Nigerians in different areas of businesses and we are calling on you to be part of this great revolution”.
